Good idea, fatal flaw

So, this is great...when it works. The problem is it works so seldom...

The phone will not reliably connect to the GPS. I am on my second phone so it has to be either the GPS or the app. In any case it is a Garmin problem that they cant solve after several attempts with their customer service.

If I unpair and re-pair the phone and the GPS I can get it to work for a day or two. So, if you are either willing to do that on a regular basis, or you are willing to only use it when you are on a trip and it is worth the hassles... Then you would be good to go.
